Congrats to cohort #2 for surviving the "torture" of my Foundations of Claude Code workshop.
Since cohort #1, the feedback has been all over the place. Same workshop, very different reactions:
Since cohort #1, the feedback has been all over the place. Same workshop, very different reactions:
-
A learner said “It is easy and fun.”
-
A learner asked “So simple?”
-
A learner said “It used to take me 4 days to set up a website. Now I can do it in 4 hours.”
-
A learner said this is an advanced class, not a foundational one.
-
A few learners said they puked a lot of blood.
-
A few learners already launched 2 to 3 business websites.
-
Some learners are still scared to open the Terminal.
I can’t guarantee everyone learns at the same pace. People walk in from very different starting points, and that is fine.
But I can guarantee one thing. Every learner leaves with a strong foundation, no matter where they start.
That is why I insist on covering certain topics, even when some find them hard:
-
How to use Claude Code in the Terminal (it is not as scary)
-
How to use Git version control safely, without leaking your API keys
-
How to separate local and production environments for security and safety
-
How to do UI testing for desktop and mobile
-
How to do integration testing for the contact us form with bot protection.
-
The 3 mental models for working with AI agents
-
The foundational concepts: what AI agents, skills, and MCP actually are
-
The systematic, not cowboy, way of building a high performing, SEO and GEO optimised website. From brief, to content architecture, to design, building, testing, and deployment.
-
And more.
And I make sure no one is left behind. Every learner joins a support chat group, and can re-attend any future cohort for free.
If you walk in scared of the Terminal, that is fine. You just need to start on the right foundation, not at the same pace as everyone else.
One myth I always highlight. Claude Code is not just for coding. It is an AI agent running on your computer. It can do anything you can do on your computer, given the right access and permissions.
Learning the foundations allows you to apply Claude Code and similar AI agents beyond building websites in the future.
If you are interested in pushing yourself to adopt AI, my next cohort is on 4 June, 1pm to 6pm.
