Iโm honored to be invited to moderate an insightful roundtable on ๐๐น๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ ๐๐ด๐ฒ, hosted by The Ortus Club and MuleSoft โ with an exceptional group of tech and data leaders across industries like banking, telco, healthcare, transport, finance, and travel.
We unpacked tough questions on:
We unpacked tough questions on: โ Balancing modernization with business priorities โ Overcoming cultural and structural inertia โ Unlocking innovation through integration, cloud, and AI
๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐๐:
- Enterpriseโs ability to innovate fast in the age of AI is hinged on the modernization of foundational systems.
- By โsystem,โ it doesnโt only mean IT infrastructure; it also includes culture, people, and processes.
- IT systems should be API (or MCP) ready for the age of AI.
- People, culture, and processes must be upgraded to adopt AI.
Iโm impressed with the energy in the room. Some standout discussions:
- How some business leaders conduct training for all employeesโnot just the tech teamโto learn to build AI agents and workflows, regardless of doubts about who can pick up the skills.
- Legacy systems are a real roadblock to AI adoption. Some enterprises still have on-prem systems running with old OS.
- How some business leaders challenge the rigidity of big enterprises by questioning โfactsโ that hold back AI adoption.
- An unfinished debate of whether LLMs should be more deterministicโa great topic for a future session.
A big thank you to the organizers for curating such a sharp and forward-thinking group of leaders.:
