**GenAI Pitfalls**

ChatGPT has recently encountered various outages. These outages took down our AI services and disrupted business operations, both for us and our clients.

Lessons Learned:

• AI platforms are still relatively new and have not been battle-tested for high resilience and scalability.
• If your products or services rely on third-party AI services, it is advisable to build in a switch to swap to another vendor (e.g., Azure OpenAI when OpenAI is down).
• Build in features to allow business operations to continue without AI.
• Always have a Business Continuity Plan.
